The UPDF Chief Political Commissar Col. Felix Kulaigye has been suspended over an alleged good deal.
Kulaigye who doubles as an army representative in Parliament has been suspended over his alleged involvement in a gold deal that went sour.
Employees of a private company-Matrich Holding Limited had in June this year accused Col. Kulaigye of ransacking their premises following a gold deal that went sour.
The army in response, stated that Colonel would be investigated over his involvement in the gold deal.
Today the Army Spokesperson Lt. Col. Paddy Ankunda confirmed that Kulaigye has been suspended.
“Truth is Col. Felix Kulaigye has been suspended from the office of the Chief Political Commissar pending inquiry into his gold business” Ankunda tweeted using the official tweeter handle of the Ministry of Defence @defenseuganda.
Ankunda in a later tweet stressed that the suspension does not affect Kulaigye’s work as an army representative in Parliament.
