Police Summons Red Pepper Editor over Aine Picture

The police has summoned the editor of the Red Pepper Publications over publication of pictures that are alleged to be the dead body of Christopher Aine the former head of security for Amama Mbabazi.
In a letter dated January 7 and signed by Mark Paul Odongo, the Deputy Director Criminal Investigations and Intelligence Directorate and Special Investigations Division the police summoned the Chief Editor of Red Pepper Publications to record a statement.
“The Special Investigations Division is conducting investigations into the publications titled AINE “BODY” EMERGES that was carried on pages 1 and 4 in the Red Pepper dated 07/01/2016, Pursuant to the sections 27A of the Police Act, you are required to report to Special Investigations Division Kireka, today Thursday 07/01/2016 at 1630hrs, to assist in providing information in respect to the matter being investigated,” the summons read.
The development follow claims made by Aine’s family members that the body published by the Red Pepper and shared on the social media is of their missing son.
