Major roads in Kampala have been closed ahead of Pope Francis’s visit late this evening.
The Pope is currently in Kenya where he began a six-day, three-nation maiden pastoral visit to Africa.
The pontiff will be in Uganda till Sunday when he will fly out to the Central African Republic.
The pope will tomorrow lead an open-air Mass at Uganda Martyrs Shrine, Namugongo, where an estimated 3 million people will attend. Already there’s too much fanfare among the Christians in Kampala as they wait to receive the Holy See.
